The Muslim Students Association and Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR-LA) brings you "Legacy- Internment and Civil Rights
Revisited", a program that highlights the experience of Japanese
Americans during and after World War II. The event would include a
presentation from a CAIR-LA representative, a talk by a Japanese
American internee, along with a short documentary featuring the
Manzanar pilgrimage. The event would address questions such as: How
does the Japanese American community experience affect us today? What
are the lessons that have been learned by the Japanese American
community?
